Type 963 Trials at Tantallon
A.S.R.E. Technical Note DX-55-2. At the beginning of 1951, Messrs Ferranti Ltd, were asked to undertake the development of a 200 kW X-Band Radar set with a fully stabilised aerial to replace Type 961, and to design a Computer that would allow the accurate control of large numbers of jet aircraft at short landing intervals.
