The MetroVick Long Service Association was set up in 1923 and chaired by A Walmsley. The Association was for those who had served over 20 years with the company. This criterion was later increased to 30 years. Members paid 6d a week towards a hardship fund for members in difficulties and after 35 years service members received a gold watch. The association organised social events and an annual supper and concert.
