/1. Album comprises 23 photographs depicting civil engineering work and plant at Dunswell underground works and Cottingham water works near Kingston-upon-Hull. Front of album bears ts. note, dated 1928, relating the photos to a court case between Potter & Co. and .... the city and county of Kingston-upon-Hull. Potter & Co., of Grantham & London, had sued for breach of contract, claiming almost £54k for work done.

/2. Album comprises 460 photographs depicting civil engineering work at Dunswell underground works and Cottingham water works near Kingston-upon-Hull between April 1924 and August 1929, particularly shafts and wells sunk and the heavy plant used. Final views are of the engine house, under construction and completed. 4 photos are loose in pocket at rear, with additional photograph of the Potter company factory, presumably in Grantham
