A petition 'to the Honorable[sic] the Commons of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland assembled' by the London, Brighton and South Coast Railway. The petition is to change the bill passing through parliament at the time by substituting a branch from Billingshurst to Petworth with a branch from Billingshurst to Coultershaw. The petition was not sent to the House of Commons as it was 'found to be unnecessary[sic]'.
