This series contains the photographs of people produced and/or used by workers at The Daily Herald. The backs of photographic prints are often annotated with details of the photographer or picture library the image was sourced from, the date of publication. There is often a copy of the article the photograph was used in on the back of the print.
The people in this sub-series are largely not famous or public figures (although there are some exceptions). The subjects are those less well-photographed by the Daily Herald, with most files containing less than ten photographs. The files are all labelled with the full name of the subject, followed by the reason they appeared in the Daily Herald. This was done to enable ease of access for the picture library workers sourcing from their existing image stock.
