Glass bottle featuring pictures of saints

Made:
1667 in Italy

Glass bottle, rectangular with stopper covered in gold fabric, highly decorated with pictures of saints painted on three sides.

On one side of this bottle is a standing saintly figure with his hand raised in blessing, a bird (possibly a dove) overhead. Also featured are a praying figure on his knees and a winged angel or cherub. The date on the reverse, "A.D. 1667" gives us a clue as to the date of this bottle's manufacture and decoration.
