Glass vial with cork stopper containing approximately 20 tabloid hypodermic tablets consisting of 1/6 grain of morphine sulphate and 1/4 grain of sodium sulphate. Morphine is a powerful analgesic and narcotic but it also has central stimulant Sodium sulphate is a saline purgative but also used as a diuretic and also as a lymphagogue when applied to infectious wounds. It is unknown why this should be used in conjuction with morphine sulphate.
