Pair of white cotton gloves worn by nurse Bonnett at St. James' Palace to shake hands with Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother on being awarded the silver 25 year service badge, 1952-1982

These white gloves were worn by Nurse Bonnet, when she was awarded a badge to celebrate her 25 years as a nurse, presented by the Queen Mother (1900-2002). The ceremony took place at St James’ Palace, The Mall, London in 1982.

The gloves were donated as part of the large collection of nursing items owned by Gertrude Baker on her death in 1982.
