This top-pan balance has a maximum capacity of 4000g and a readability of 0.1g. The tare facility enables the user to weigh objects as they are placed in a container on the pan; the balance automatically subtracts the weight of the container.

This balance can have the weighing units selected by the user. It normally displays the weight in grams, but use of the MODE switch can change the unit to ounces, carats or pounds.

Through a suitable interface, it can be used for remote readings, and the readings can be printed.
