Small brown glass, circle based bottle with metal screw cap and paper label, containing Durophet capsules. Indicated as an appetite depressant (suppressant) in the treatment of obesity. The capsules contain the active ingredients amphetamine and Dexamphetamine sulphate, an anorectic drug, was used as an adjunct in the treatment of obesity. Although it doesn't increase the basal metabolism or nitrogen excretion it enables the patient to accept a restricted diet more readily. Originally 30 capsules, 3 capsules remaining. Durophet capsules are listed in The Extra Pharmacopoeia from between 1967-1989.
