Locomotive nameplate, London & North Eastern Railway, "The York and Ainsty". Cast brass nameplate from D49 Hunt class locomotive number 62737. The nameplate is curved to fit the wheel splasher, with a cast brass figure of a fox above the letters. The fox is running from right to left, indicating that the nameplate was fitted on the left side of the engine.
