Painting, watercolour and pencil, A Midland Coalfield , by Norman Wilkinson, about 1935. Depicts the a colliery pithead, probably in Nottinghamshire, with two headgear. They are surrounded by brick buildings, with a concrete water tower just visible in the background. There are railway tracks in from of the headgear, and a coal wagon marked "LMS". Signed by the artist at bottom left. Study for a London, Midland & Scottish Railway poster. Framed and glazed.
