Painting, oil on canvas, original artwork for Great Western Railway poster, Newquay on the Cornish Coast, by Alker Tripp, about 1946. Depicts four figures on a cliff overlooking a sandy beach, a man with his arm around a woman, pointing, and two women seated on the grass. Two young women are descending steps carrying surf boards, and in the distance is the sea and a headland. Signed by the artist at bottom left, beneath the image. There is a blank space at the bottom approximately 120 x 630 mm to allow for the insertion of text.
