Painting, oil on canvas, portrait of Francis William Webb, Chief Mechanical Engineer of the London & North Western Railway, by George Hall Neale, 1903. Depicts Webb balding, with a white beard, dressed in a dark jacket and waistcoat, grey trousers and red tie. He is standing, with the thumb of his right hand in his trouser pocket, and his left hand resting on a table next to a model of a locomotive wheel. Painted on Webb's retirement and formerly displayed in the Locomotive Works, Crewe. Unframed. Signed and dated lower right.
