Painting, oil on canvas, portrait of General Sir Brian Robertson, Chairman, British Transport Commission, 1953-1961, by Norman Hepple, about 1960. Depicts General Robertson from the waist up, with his body at an angle and his head tilted to the left. He has a moustache and bushy eyebrows, and is wearing a light coloured jacket, with a yellow pullover and a red and blue tie. In the background are fields, a stone bridge across a river and a passing train hauled by a steam locomotive. Unsigned. Framed, unglazed. Plaque on the frame reads "General Sir Brian Robertson, GCB, GBE, KCMG, KCVO, DSO, MC, Chairman British Transport Commission, 1953 - 1961.
