Coloured lithograph depicting a reconstruction of Hadrian's Wall, in about the second century AD. It depicts Roman auxiliary cavalrymen on horseback on a paved road, with the wall in the background, and a woman carrying a bucket in the foreground. Accompanying text reads "Tour by rail or road from Newcastle-on-Tyne" and also gives details of an illustrated guide. Printed by Vincent Brooks, Day & Son Ltd, Lith, London WC2. Format: double royal. Dimensions: 40 x 25 inches, 1016 x 635mm.
