Seal matrix, Birkenhead Railway, 1859,copper disc mounted on wood, full company title and date around circumference enclosing 2-2-2 locomotive and view of Birkenhead docks, underneath which is written, 'Per Mare Per Terras 1846'. On back of the wood is written 'L.T.&S.R. Die' (London, Tilbury & Southend Railway).
