Made:
1915
maker:
Société Anonyme des Automobiles Peugeot

Baby Peugeot 6 hp motor car, 1915. Sectioned body to show water-cooled, four-cylinder engine and chassis. Engine no. 12294.

Introduced in 1912, this BP1 type Baby Peugeot car set a trend for small light cars with the power of a larger car. The Baby Peugeot BP1 was designed by Ettore Bugatti, founder of Bugatti, who was reknowned in Europe for designing small-capacity engines which could produce extraordinary power. Being very lightweight made the car easy to handle and control, which a 1915 article in 'The Lightcar and Cyclecar' magazine credits with the vehicle's apparent popularity with female drivers.
