Model 775 Twin Disc Drive Word Processor, Serial No E750616, by Compucorp (Ireland) Ltd, 1980-1985, complete with VDU, keyboard and mains lead. (Similar to 1993-728). Word processors first appeared in the 1970s, and had the great advantage over conventional typewriters that text could be altered or edited without having to type the entire document again from scratch.
