Collection of drawings, mainly of British coastal fishing vessels / [1844-1883]. 74 drawings; 72 pencil, 1 pencil with watercolour, 1 watercolour; various sizes arranged to 26x36.5cm or smaller. Pages from sketchbooks, assorted, arranged in possible former exhibition layout. Mainly unsigned, no. 45 signed S. Prout, no. 66 signed CM Morris. Items 52-73 annotated in various hands, noted these are sketched from models displayed in Fisheries Exhibition 1883. Item 74, watercolour, shows a boat with nets hung out to dry. Possibly work by marine artist and illustrator Robert Charles Leslie (fl.1843-1877)? - some similarity to work in published books, and was in locations of and painting scenes of eg. Deal and Erith at around time sketches there were made
