IBM XT Personal Computer, comprising of system box, monochrome monitor, tilt and swivel stand and keyboard. Model No. 5160, 1983. IBM introduced the first personal computer, the PC, in 1981. This model, the XT (eXtended Technology) was the successor to the PC. Although it did have enhanced features including a hard drive (the first computer to feature one), a CGA graphics card and increased memory, it was not regarded as being particularly innovative technologically.
