Plate, ceramic, white with blue design, Baltimore & Ohio Railroad, depicting horse-drawn car 1830, The Tom Thumb 1830, The Atlantic 1832, The Philip E. Thomas 1838, Wina's Camel 1851, Mogul 600 1875, The Lord Baltimore 1925 around rim and lettered "First Stone of the Baltimore Ohio Railroad laid July 4th 1828", in centre a scene of river, town, bridges and lettered "Harper's Ferry W.Va", on reverse lettered "1827-1927 - the Baltimore Ohio Railroad Co Charter granted Feb 28 1827, First stone laid July 4th 1828, Reached Ellicott's Mills May 22nd 1830, Steam first used Aug 30th 1830, Reached Washington Aug 25th 1825, Reached Wheeling Dec 23rd 1852, First train to St Louis in 1857, First Train to Chicago in 1874". Overall: 27 mm, 227 mm.
