Drawer cash register (provisional Patent No 27239/32) with finger-operated dial adding device on the top, made of wood and steel, manufactured by Universal Recorders Limited of London. With four dials, three marked individually '£', 's', and 'd' for pre-decimal UK currency.

Universal Recorders Limited seem to have been a short-lived London-based cash register company with few surviving examples, including this drawer cash register which was provisionally patented in 1932. In late 1936/early 1937, Universal Recorders Limited was removed from the Companies registers and ceased operation.
