Attached imprinting plate marked '4210092 SCIENCE MUSEUM LONDON SW7 942 664 293 0'. Made 1990-98.

Imprinters were used to capture credit card details at the point of sale, and to prepare a slip for the cardholder. This allowed a financial transaction to take place between parties without the need for any money or a cheque to change hands physically. Made by Bartizan Corporation, Yonkers, New York, USA.
