Set of eight coins in assorted denominations and metals, 20 lire - 5000 lire, in presentation pack and slip case 15x15x2cm. Inside pack and text leaves open to 30x30cm. Each coin face has sculpted head of man, skull segmented like a world map, hands together supporting eternal flame, surround of stars moon and planet. Designs on each verso according to themes of communication, the global village, peace, ecological systems, knowledge (Minerva with sphere cube and pyramid), work (waterwheel/old instrument), liberty. Text explanations. Pack cover has man's head around which floats a spiral of symbolic references including the internet @ .
