Human skin, tattooed with figure of blacksmith and initials, French, dated 1890. Tattoo - tradesman's insignia, outlined heavily in black, beneath which are the initials 'P.E.' The tattoo is very faded, showing evidence of extensive feathering and potential beading, indicative of amateur application. Skin -cream-yellow colouration, showing some evidence of white surface residue, thin cross-section, curling up at edges, roughly rectangular shape.
