Fire-steel (length 2 1/2 ins) slender and of unusual shape; the two recurved tangs form two rings in centre of back, not at the ends; labelled as found in the Château de Potelières (Gard) (label defaced and name largely illegible); believed to be of the 15th century; bought in Paris. France.
