Fire-steel forming back of horn-handled pocket-knife (length 3 3/8 ins), having two blades, a saw, and a pipe-prick; collected at Neuchatel, 1900. Switzerland. [NB: one of eight specimens (nos. 512-519). Five are ordinary pocket-knives, the backs of which are either intended for use as fire-steels or have been used as such. In the case of the other three, the back of the knife-blade has been so used.]
