The first Ensignette was introduced in 1909 for 1 ½" by 2 ¼" exposures on special size roll film. This camera, the Model 2, was released in 1912 and took 2" x 3" exposures on E2 roll film. The Ensignette is an early example of a miniature bellows, roll film camera. Designed by Swedish engineer Magnus Niell the Ensignette was a very popular camera and a number of different models were produced.
