EMI battery portable tape recorder. Manufactured by EMI, Hayes, Middlesex. Battery portable recorder for 5" spools, 7 1/2 ips. Converted to rechargable battery use, 12 volt and 135 volt. Full track recording. Record and playback heads. Uses pre-erased tapes. Miniature 4 pin Jones plug for microphone. Preset gain control. Phone socket, loudspeaker socket. Meter monitoring of battery voltage, bias current. Manual rewind. Shoulder straps.
