The Xit camera, c 1909. A H form collapsing camera for 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 inch plates. Fitted with a Goerz Dopp Anast. Series III Dagor lens F:125mm, f/6.8-45 No.284856 in compound shutter 1/2/5/10/25/50/100/250/B/T. Helical focusing by lever. Lens panel locates in two positions on side struts for extra extension. Ground glass focusing screen and added folding optical frame finder. Spirit level. Shew and Co. c 1909. With leather label giving owners name. Overall (deployed): 150 mm x 130 mm x 180 mm.
