A photograph of a nurse administering electrical treatment at London National Temperance Hospital, taken in April 1934 by George Woodbine for the Daily Herald.
Opened in 1873, the hospital was extended in 1931 after a donation from Samuel Insull allowed for the building of the Insull Memorial Wing. The nurse is using the new Altra short Electrical Machine.
