A hand painted magic lantern lever slide showing two groups of men, made by an unknown artist in 1870. This magic lantern slide has two levered glass plates with drawings of the men standing on either side of a river bank, the background is drawn on a separate, static piece of glass. By moving the levered pieces of glass up and down the men can be made to appear as if they are taunting each other across the river.
