This photograph was taken on the morning of President Kennedy's assassination, November 22 1963. The photograph shows President Kennedy and his wife Jacqueline, popularly known as Jackie, at Fort Worth, Texas, for a Chamber of Commerce breakfast. Such was the warm reception which greeted Jackie, the President joked that he was 'the man who accompanied Mrs Kennedy'.
After the breakfast they travelled on Air Force One to Dallas with Texas Governor John Connally and his wife. During the motorcade journey to Trade Mart President Kennedy was shot, with his wife Jackie sat next to him.
