Dorman Smith, special 13A plugs. 13 amp plug with special earth pin.

Part of the Bob Gray collection of electrical objects.

Special 13 amp plugs designed to go into sockets for restricted use. These were most commonly used in hospitals for vital equipment backed-up by emergency generators. They were also sometimes used in various configurations on the railways, especially London Underground. They were made in about 1980 by Dorman Smith Britmac which had operations in Preston and Salford.
