Moving day for the orangutans at the London Zoo. The London Zoo's orangutans 'Mr Jiggs', 'Lizzie' and 'Annabelle' were today moved to new, and bigger, quarters. The old Elephant House at Regent's Park has been altered to accommodate them and provides more room, in which they can play their extremely agile and energetic games. Photograph shows: 'Annabelle', 'Mr Jiggs', and 'Lizzie' being shown round their new quarters, watched by interested visitors outside the cagee. They seem a bit dubious about the move but, will, no doubt, find out the advantages later on. 13 May 1953.
