The two mounted sketches titled ‘Sunset and amber afterglow, No. 3, 6.30; No. 4, 6.40; No. 5, 6.45’ were originally recorded as part of a set of five numbered ‘55’ in the 1888 ‘Catalogue of Sky Sketches’ published for the exhibition at the South Kensington Museum [see attached media for 1888-156: DOC_1888-0156_1888 SKY SKETCHES EXHIBITION CATALOGUE], the other three are now part of 1888-156/55. The mounted sketch titled ‘Afterglow with rose flush’ was originally numbered as ‘56’ in the same catalogue.
