1864 - Petrus Johannes Kipp dies. His widow and one of their sons continue his business under the name: 'Kipp & Zoon'. 1866 - two more sons Anthonius Johannes (instrument-maker) and Wilhelmus Arnoldus (pharmacist), continue the firm under the name Kipp & Zonen (sons). 1913 - company commences production of galvanometers and thermopiles. 1927 - company manufacturing and selling solarimeters and pyrheliometers.
