Corris Railway 1864 - 1930

Originally incorporated as the Corris, Machynlleth and River Dovey Tramroad, changed its name by Act of 15 July 1864 which also permitted the use of steam engines. The line was bought by GWR in 1930 and closed the passenger line with effect from 1 January 1931.
