Railway company founded in 1854 that connected Kent and East Sussex to London. It began an accord with South Eastern Railway to form South Eastern & Chatham Railway under the the South Eastern and London, Chatham and Dover Railway Act 1899. Both of these companies were grouped into the Southern Railway in the 1923 grouping.
