Two partially filled notebooks concerning Ayrton's research on fans for dispelling clouds of poison. This is some of the final research Ayrton was working on and included mechanised versions of Ayrton Fans which were eventually produced after Ayrton’s death and were used to clear mines etc. The last entry in notebook #1 is dated 5 June 1923 and Ayrton died in August 1923.
