This sub-sub-sub-series contains images from photography projects undertaken in New Orelans by Tony Ray-Jones in 1965. The photographs include images of New Orleans streets, riverboats, jazz musicians at home and performing at venues including Preservation Hall. Musicians in the series include Kid Thomas, Kid Sheik, Billie and DeeDee Pierce, Babe Stovall, Danny Barket, Kid Sark Band and other contemporaries. The series contains approximately 1,470 black and white 35mm negatives (and associated contact sheets), 23 black and white photographic prints and 1,760 colour 35mm slides.
