Model, made by the inventor, of a Continuously-Fed Inclined Retort, 1869, invented by W T Carpenter, and trialled for 2 years at Sheerness, Kent, together with: a length of archimedean feed screw, in wood, edge piece lost; brass pipework and pipework junction; wooden oval cross section tube.
