Compendium consisting of a sundial, compass and calendar indices made by Elias Allen between 1630 and 1653. Inscribed: "Elias allen fecit" and outer lid engraved with the royal coat of arms of either King James I or King Charles I, but object attributed to the reign of King Charles I.
