Surgical instrument set, steel and wood, containing two lancets and one probe, Indian
The two lancets and one probe in this small instrument set fit neatly into the folding case. The lancets were likely used for bloodletting. Bloodletting is a traditional part of Ayurvedic medicine, but is rarely used today. The probe applied medical treatments to wounds, eyes and ears. It also assisted examination of parts of the body.
