1 bottle of Balshoolarka gripe mixture by Zandu Pharmaceutical Works Ltd., in box, 1970-1981
Used to ease teething and regulate digestion in babies, this Ayurvedic gripe mixture was imported from Bombay (now Mumbai) in India for use in the United Kingdom during the 1970s. Ayurveda is a medical tradition. Its history reaches back over 2000 years. Its roots are in the Indian subcontinent. However, its influence has spread to other parts of the world. There are two main types of therapy within Ayurvedic medicine. Some actively purge and purify the body to eliminate the causes of disease. Others are more passive and soothe the symptoms.
