Taken with water or milk in the morning and before bed, this tonic was intended to soothe babies and promote good health. It was imported from India to the UK during the 1970s. Ayurveda is a medical tradition. Its history reaches back over 2000 years. Its roots are in the Indian subcontinent. However, its influence has spread to other parts of the world.
