Signal box nameboard from Holtby station, North Yorkshire.
This nameboard was attached to the signal box at Holtby station on the railway line from York to Market Weighton.
The station opened in 1847, but Holtby was only a small village and passenger numbers were low. It closed to passengers in 1939 and to freight in 1951.
