Painting, oil on canvas, Service to Industry for British Railways, South Grid Railway Sidings, Billingham by Terence Cuneo, 1962. A night scene depicting steam and diesel trains arriving and departing at the Imperial Chemical Industries site at Billingham, near Stockton-on-Tees. In the left foreground black smoke billows from a steam locomotive into the night sky. In the centre a floodlit green diesel locomotive with a train of tank wagons passes under elevated piping. At right are the pylons and tanks of the chemical works. Signed by the artist at bottom left. Original artwork for British Railways Eastern Region poster.
