Watercolour, Etherow Viaduct at Mottram, by Thomas Mann Baynes, 1846 (or JM Baynes?). Depicts the viaduct carrying the Sheffield, Ashton-under-Lyne and Manchester Railway over the River Etherow. It shows the three arches of the viaduct, built in timber and stone and resting on two piers. Beneath the viaduct is the river, and at right is a road, leading to a lower stone bridge. In the background is a large mill. Framed and glazed.
